Spa Pechanga Overview - An Interview With Samantha Mansell, Spa Manager
By Jennifer Weis
Whether you have been to the spa a dozen times or researching it for a first visit, insights from an insider can enhance your spa experience. Below is an interview with Samantha Mansell who shares valuable tidbits about the spa, their treatments and the perfect itinerary.
Can you provide our readers with a brief overview of the spa?
Spa Pechanga is a 25,000-square foot sanctuary of luxury, wellness and serenity designed for year-round rejuvenation of the mind, body and spirit. We offer luxurious treatment rooms and relaxation areas with panoramic views of the surrounding hillside. Our numerous amenities, such as steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools, a fitness facility and outdoor patios, are specifically created to offer an intimate escape into wellness and tranquility.
If you were planning a half and/or a full day visit to your spa what would be the perfect itinerary to get the most out of your amenities?
The perfect itinerary when visiting Spa Pechanga is to arrive at least one hour prior to services to enjoy the eucalyptus steam room and whirlpool. This is a great way to begin your journey at Spa Pechanga and allows the pores to open up and the muscles to relax prior to your scheduled service. Then, spend 30 minutes of quite serenity on the relaxation terrace with a nice cup of botanical tea while overlooking the beautiful mountain views.
How do you differ from the other spas in the area?
Spa Pechanga is not only the largest spa in the Temecula Valley, but it has a unique focus on healing and health. Inspired by the use of native botanicals on the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indian Reservation, healing is integral throughout your journey at Spa Pechanga. The Pechanga tribe used native white sage to cleanse and purify the body. Sage properties, as well as other native Pechanga plants and flora, are incorporated into many of the treatments.
Please describe the signature and/or most commonly requested service?
Our Pechanga Traditional Massage is by far the most popular treatment. It's a 50 or 80 minute classic massage that encourages the easing of muscle tension and is accompanied by essential oils to encourage wellness of the body, mind and spirit.
Do you have any current specials or packages?
Spa Pechanga offers specials almost every month throughout the year. In January, Spa Pechanga is offering a Lunar New Year special called The Citrus 88, which symbolizes luck and good fortune in the Asian culture. The 80-minute treatment is a deeply hydrating body scrub and massage combination leaving you recharged for the New Year. Using natural ingredients such as Vitamin C and Shae butter, dry skin turns radiant. The Citrus 88 is available Monday through Friday during the entire month of January. To book an appointment, visit www.pechanga.com/spa or call (877)711-2WIN.
Any other amenities you would like to highlight?
Spa Pechanga features a relaxation lounge with wellness snacks, teas and special infused waters. Detoxify and improve circulation in our dry sauna, lay out on a complimentary daybed at our outdoor tranquil pool and whirlpool deck, or workout in our state-of-the-art fitness center. Don't forget to close out your stay experiencing the Aromatherapy Bar, where a spa attendant will walk mix up your very own customized body butter or oil, with essential oils coinciding with your birthday.
Anything else you would like to share to our readers?
Spa Pechanga is perfectly nuzzled in the beautiful mountains of Temecula Valley and is set apart from the hustle and bustle of the resort/casino property. It's a private and peaceful getaway just steps away form the fun and entertainment. The spa employs veteran therapists that offer an array of treatments and a wealth of knowledge. Healing is integral at Spa Pechanga.
