Spa Trip To Kohler Waters, Kohler, WI
By Sarah Janz
Kohler, Wisconsin...a quaint village nestled between the Kettle Moraine State Forest and beautiful Lake Michigan located in Sheboygan County. It is also the picturesque location of this AWARD WINNING spa - Kohler Waters!
The village of Kohler itself, is well known for its five star hotels (American Club and Inn at Wood Lake) superb Shopping District at Wood Lake (with over 20 specialty shops and high end boutiques), Festivals (most notable the Food and Wine Festivals in October), and rich music boasting the world class Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra. Also known to professional golfers and ranked by Golf Digest as "Top Golf Courses in the US" for five consecutive years, given a "Five Star Rating" (Whistling Straits and Black Wolf Run), and home of the 2020 Ryder Cup. No trip to Kohler is complete without visiting the scrumptious "Chocolate Fantasies" and amazing Kohler Design Center featuring displays by Baker and McGuire Furniture and Ann Sacks Tile and Stone. Combined together, making Kohler attractive to a wide variety of guests and travelers...it should come as no surprise that this little village is quickly climbing to a top tourist destination in the U.S. !
I visited the Kohler Waters Spa on a Friday. Like many spas....I was told Saturdays and Sundays were the busiest time....and personally I prefer a more tranquil spa experience.
Upon entering, I was greeting with soothing music, tranquil fragrances....and a warm welcome from the reception area. An attendant then escorted me downstairs to the woman's locker room and gave me a tour of the facility. Overall, everything appeared very clean and well attended to. The locker room was well appointed with private bathrooms and showers, hot tub, invigorating cold submerging pool, steam room and sauna. There were ample chaise lounges and comfortable seating for relaxing both pre and post services. The staff was extremely attentive...remembering my name, addressing me as "Ms. Janz" and frequently asking if there was anything I needed (however, not annoyingly so!)
