VH Spa for Vitality + Health at Hotel Valley Ho
By Jennifer Weis
Whether you have been to the spa a dozen times or researching it for a first visit, insights from an insider can enhance your spa experience. Below is an interview with Laura Parsons who shares valuable tidbits about the spa, their treatments and the perfect itinerary.
Can you provide our readers a brief overview of the spa and property?
VH Spa focuses on transformational treatments and services. It features eight private treatment rooms, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center, movement studio, boutique, and men's and women's locker rooms, steam rooms, and lounges.
If you were planning a half day visit to your spa what would be the perfect itinerary to get the most out of your amenities?
An ideal half day at VH Spa would start out with tea outside on the spa deck. Next would be a visit to the steam room, then a shower before treatments. A favorite here is the 90-minute Red Flower Hammam Experience, which is nicely complemented by the CoffeeBerry Yoga Facial and a Manicure + Pedicure. A nice finish to the day would be a poolside cocktail at the OH Pool, or Yoga in the movement studio.
When Did Spa Open?
VH Spa debuted in 2005 with the reopening of Hotel Valley Ho.
How do you differ from the other spas in the area?
VH Spa is very focused on results. Our treatments are all about the products and their ingredients, and how those improve a healthy appearance and overall well being.
Please describe the Signature and/or most commonly requested service?
The 90-minute Red Flower Hammam Experience does it all: cleanse, exfoliate, mist, massage, and moisturize. It features organic, pure, and wildcraft-harvested products from Red Flower including mint, silt, coffee, lemon blossom, orange, quince, cardamom, amber, tangerine, and fig. It's a very well-rounded treatment that's revitalizing and supremely relaxing!
Do you have any current specials or packages?
We have some weekly specials for all of 2013, and great monthly specials too! Our Mid-Week Mojo special offers our best deal - you can get a 60-minute massage for just $60 (normally $125), among other deals. We also have a Sunday Spa Party Package that includes 90 minutes of treatments and a glass of wine or Champagne for $99 (normally $190).
Any amenities you would like to highlight?
The spa has men's and women's locker rooms, lounges, showers, and steam rooms. We also have a movement studio with fitness classes and a 24-hour, state-of-the-art fitness center that offers fresh-air workouts.
Anything else you would like to share to our readers?
We have a fun spa party once a month. For a small price (currently $25), guests can enjoy 30 minutes of mini treatments, chocolate, cocktails, a goodie bag, and a voucher for purchases in the spa boutique. It's a fantastic deal and always a great time!
